I got an iPod Touch as a replacement for my iPod Mini which broke after many years of service! Once I started to use it, I realised how much more it is than just an mp3 player.

It's excellent as an mp3 player, I've always been a fan of Apple and find iTunes an easy way to manage music. It's also very good for playing films and video clips, the size of the screen makes it comfortable to sit and watch a film, so it's the perfect companion for a long train journey for example.

The internet connection is good on it, although sometimes it will tell you that it is picking up wireless, but then not connect to the internet. Generally however, it provides a good and fairly fast internet connection, and it is really easy to browse pages because of the screen size, and the touch screen makes navigation easy.

I absolutely love all of the apps, and it is amazing how many are free. I have sudoku and pacman which are good entertainment, as well as one for facebook which is really useful. When connected to the internet, you can access the app store from the ipod and download directly to it.

One word of warning however, whatever you download straight to the ipod, be it a song or an app, make sure that you back it up on your computer when you next plug the ipod in, otherwise it will get deleted. Fortunately when this happened to me, Apple were very helpful and loaded the songs back in to my iTunes account o I could redownload them, but it's best to avoid the situation if possible.

The battery life is very good, and it gives you plenty of warning when the battery is running low, telling you when 20% and then 10% of it are remaining so you know when to charge it up.

Overall, I'm a big fan of the iPod touch and would definitely recommend it as an mp3 player and general provider of entertainment
