Advantages: Godo sound and web browsing

Disadvantages: no phone, big for a music player

A great gadget but not a brilliant one. It's a good system the ipod touch, largely full-featured like the iphone. The arrival of skype type applications have made this a fantastic device for free phone calls if you have wifi access but unfortunately this sort of access isn't ubiquitous enough to make it a phone killer. The ipod function is good, 8gb is more than enough to carry although it might not satisty a fan with a huge library of music. web browsing is decent but it's a shame it doesn't work with flash as then it would be great. Battery life is ok although network intesive stuff does mean you'll have to recharge it once a day or so. Apps are good but the games are not quite up to handheld console standard. All in all it does most things well but nothing spectacularly. Design is good, construction generally sound.
