I used to hate ipods..back in the days when the first iPod and iPod mini etc came out, I thought they were overpriced and wernt much better than any other MP3 player. Now though, Apple have redeemed themselves, the new touch outplays all other devices by miles!. Instantly intuitive and easy to operate, straight out of the box the ipod makes a big impression. First off, its one of the best music players, great library functions with cover flow makes choosing songs not just easy but fun aswell. The sound quality is pretty good, no complaits there and the touch screen scroll is brilliant and natural to use, definetly one of the best touch screens out there! The WiFi addition on the iPod has saved my life, often when ive been on holiday and craving a connection to the outside world, ive just found a wifi hotspot and tweeted and facebooked to my hearts content. This brings me onto another thing, the apps! Apps for Facebook, Myspace, games and ultilities are actaully pretty usefull...even some silly ones are great. The new external speaker on the 2G model allows you to play songs outloud, without headphones, although I wouldnt, good for showing friends songs or the audio from games/apps but far to tinny and bright to listen to music on. One of the bad points of the touch is also the battery life, which will not last long if you have the wifi on, however turn it off and refrain from using the screen or skipping tracks and 25 hours playback is realistic. Beware of fingerprints too!
