IPOD TOUCH - despite the gliches buy one - but spend the extra and go LARGE (Apple iPod touch (2G) 8 GB)

Advantages: Amazing aps, great picture quality, great sound through headphones, look amazing

Disadvantages: battery life when playing games and videos, speaker sound

Ipod touch is at its basic level is an iphone without the ability to make calls. The second generation Ipod touch is let down slightly for me by its battery life and speakers. the ease with which you can download tv, movies and aps from i tunes means that it is worth investing in the larger memory sizes ( 16G and 32G) - i bought the 8G and have to be selective on the amount of aps and videos that i can have on it at any one time.

As well as the varied aps that are available the Ipod touch comes standard with a number of features including an email system that enabled me to sync email and calendar to work - acting as a fantastic PDA

it is essential to buy some sort of cover/case and a clear cover for the screen as although it is beautiful when first taken out of the box the back of the case is sensitive to scratches. The screen usability is unaffected by the clear cover ( from the apple shop - not sure about generic screen protectors)

i would definitely recommend one and could not live without mine - despite its flaws.
