Advantages: Gorgeous screen. Movies. Games. Apps.

Disadvantages: Small capacity (in comparisson to other devices). Expensive.

v2 of the iPod Touch adds voice input and expanded memory into this already capable device. What this now means is you can use this to make phone calls via Skype over WiFi and also use voice recognition / sound recognition for various applications from the App Store. Speaking of which, the App Store vastly improves the Touch with thousands of quality bespoke applications. From music sampling sequencers, to arcade games, to personal organisers to cooking guides. This version of the iPod is vastly superior to previous versions. Of course, the only department lacking is the storage available. Personally, I think 32gig is plenty for music on the move but if we directly compare this amount to the size of the more traditional iPods then this lacks somewhat. But this trade off is worth it for the larger screen (great for movies), excellent interface and the unlimited scope of the App Store. Word on the street is that Apple will be bringing out an A5 version of this later this year... so if you're after more of a movie player / gaming device then maybe it's best to wait. Me... I'm impatient! ;)

Summary: Once you have one, It's hard to imagine life without the Touch.
