Apple iPod touch (4G) 32 GB
Advantages: Great battery life, huge capacity, stylish, and a massive variety of functions.
Disadvantages: I am yet to find any.
Often Apple users of any kind are seen as spending an absolute fortune on items just to have the well known logo on the back of their gadgets. But I have to say in the case of the Apple iPod Touch 32GB, it is worth every penny. I've previously owned other more basic mp3 players, and I'm not really the kind of person who's bothered about having the latest or most 'in' gadget. However, after watching my sister unwrap an iPod Touch and be totally glued to it a couple of Christmas's ago, I knew it was time i splashed out.
I can honestly say my iPod Touch is one of the best pieces of technology I have Ever bought! I'm a big music fan, so obviously the huge capacity is perfect and it's easy to store and locate thousands of tracks simply and quickly. But what I love most about this iPod is everything else that you can do on it! The App store is your oyster!!
Appart from the obvious function, as a music player, I use my iPod as a camera almost every day! It's so quick and easy to use, and has replaced me using my mobile phone for taking those random funny moments that need to be captured quickly. The video camera is also great. I have also downloaded numerous games, and therefore often find myself playing on my iPod in those boring moments we all face everyday; train journeys, waiting rooms, queues etc.
Obviously to use a number of apps available you need wireless access, but I have found the iPod connects quickly and easily to any network - providing you have permission/the password.
My iPod was most useful at university, where obviously wirelss is readily available. I used my iPod to load up lecture notes, instead of carrying round a massive laptop, and to check my emails and timetables. It was also great for social networking, which was a great distraction in lectures :P
The iPod Touch is essentially like having your own iPhone or MacBook for a far smaller cost, but obviously without the call/text option. HOWEVER, you can use the iPod Touch to FaceTime, like skyping, which is really fun and a brilliant invention.
The battery life on my iPod is also brilliant. There's nothing worse than starting out on a journey and finding your mp3 player is about to die on you. But I have to say with the iPod this rarely ever happens.
It also looks great. It's small, slim, stylish. People often mistake my iPod for an iPhone, though I have to admit I don't correct them :P
Overall, I would really 100% recommend anyone buys an iPod Touch, unless of course you are blessed enough to have an iPhone, as it looks great and its possibilities are endless!
Summary: Worth paying for that little apple on the back and I'm yet to find a match!
