An ideal buy. (Apple iPod touch 8 GB)

Advantages: Thin; large, bright, colourful screen; excellent web browsing. Disadvantages: Struggles on some new 3D games, battery life on WiFi + processor intensive applications is shorter. The iPod touch is the best iPod that I have ever used. The touchscreen is very responsive and intuitive, although the glass can get covered in fingerprints, although a quick wipe on a pair of jeans can handle that! The screen itself is very bright and very sharp, while the HVGA, 320x480 resolution is enough that web browsing and watching videos is a pleasure. The device itself is very thin, but not featherweight. It holds well in hands and is very solidly built. The chrome backing, however, is very susceptible to scratches so a decent case is a must if you want it to look pristine. The Safari web browser is very good at displaying complex webpages which would look terrible on most other handheld devices. The audio and video quality is fabulous, and the operating system is very neat and is full of gorgeous eye candy. The new wealth of applications available on the App Store can only add to this experience, although some more demanding 3D games do not run as well as they do on other iPod touches and iPhones. Summary: A good purchase for those seeking an iPod touch at a lower price.
