The Ipod touch is a fantastic development by Apple. After being underwhelmed by the design of the newer Ipod Classics I chose this as a great alternative.

The generally functionality of the device is great being very easy to learn how to use and continue using. All the great features of a regular ipod are there along with some great extras. You have access to all of the apps that an Iphone user has access to so can download as many as you want (memory permitting!) many of them being free or having 'lite' versions which have all the key features but are just free. The wifi and bluetooth are great for checking your emails or browsing the web and communicating with others.

If I were to be hyper critical I would pick out but three disadvantages with this device. The first being the design, whilst it is stunning and up to the usual apple standard the back of the device, being in chromed steel, can easily get fingerprint marks and smudges. This leads onto the second problem with it. Whilst this has not happened yet I feel that the device could get damaged very easily as it feels very vulnerable, particularly the touch screen. The final issue is due to the thinness of the device, there can sometimes be problems plugging it into the USB cable. But this is very minor.

Overall I would definitely recommend getting an Ipod Touch but would maybe suggest a bigger memory size I you can afford it as you get more features such as the microphone headphones and can download more apps with a bigger memory capacity.
