When Apple announced this new iPod with video playback functionality, many people rushed out to buy one. Like the iPod Nano (predecessor to the now-discontinued iPod Mini), reports of the polycarbonate screen scratching have put some people off - but I still think that it's a great product. Here's why.

Firstly, it's got 30GB or 60GB of space depending on which version you go for... enough to fit a LOT of songs, photos, videos, and other documents.

The video playback quality is amazing. 30 frames per second, if you want to know.

It'll play MP3s, as well as protected content that you've downloaded from the iTunes store (of course).

It looks great - you can't fault it for looks.

In fact, you can't fault it at all. The only advice I can give if you do buy one, is to keep it in the supplied case to protect against any scratches that may crop up.
