The i-pod Video (Apple iPod (5G) 30 GB)
Member Name: aimz72
Advantages: Holds up to 7500 songs, excellent screen resolution, good sound quality Disadvantages: Battery! Got my i-pod video 30GB for christmas, so haven't had much chance to use it as of yet. The video and sound quality are excellent and yes, I would rather watch a film on a normal TV screen but that's not always possible. It is smaller than the original i-pod and much thinner, it is suprising how easily it can fit into your pocket. It is quite expensive so I suppose buying it depends on whether you would use it much or not. I don't use it much in the house but as a student it will come in really handy for watching films etc in my free periods. I haven't put any films onto it yet and I intend to.. but what I have noticed is that the battery goes really quickly! The ipod charges and becomes full very quickly, however after one song the bar has visibly gone down and I cannot imagine watching an entire film on it without having to recharge it. I am quite disappointed with this.. I only had a USB charger with it which is obviously no good for holidays or long trips. If you are thinking of buying this product I would say do not bother buying the 60GB as the 30GB holds up to 7500 songs and this seems like plenty! Also consider how much you would actually use it before buying it. Summary: My only problem is the battery!
