Advantages: Simple easy to use controls, with east to use free PC software

Disadvantages: Some have exprieced reliability problems.

I got my Ipod Video for Christmas 2006 and i've had no problems with it since then. Despite the stories you hear about them going wrong, like my previous apple ipod mini 6GB did. However as i say this one has been fault less.

When you but one you may think that 30GB will be far too much and you wil never ill it, well when you start putting music videos, movies and tv episodes on you will soon find it is only just enough. Oncue you open an Itunes account you will never buy CD's again, which is both good and bad, you don't get the same ownership feeling tat you get with the CD, but you save about £3 everytime you buy an Album, and there is no risk of getting caught like with Limewire etc.

Also Apple have started releasing Games for Ipods which are great fun and extremly good qualty for uh a small screeen, I have dowloaded Monopoly and Tetris, whih eat up very spare moment of your time, and the battery.

I recomend buying one, but waiting 6 months may mean you can get another 50GB in an Ipod classic for the same price, when the classic is replaced or improved by Apple.

Summary: A great buy which will last a long time. Although will be worth nothing until 2100ish
