If I only to write one word for my review it would be 'brilliant' (obvioulsy this would lead to a lot of recrimmination, so let me explain my thinking).

I was looking to buy a mp3 player about two and a half years ago and I did a lot of research into what would best suit my needs. A family member had the Zen and another had a Sony mp3 player and both thought theirs was pretty good.

Well, I read a lot of reviews and went and had a look at the plyers out there, and maybe I was swayed by how good the ipod looks, but I went for this particular model. I think that it looks so much better than any other mp3 player on the market. This model also has a colour screen which at the time was much better than those mentioned above.

I had read and heard the usual horror stories that the ipod dies after about a year, you need a new battery and all the rest. id eceided to take my chances. 2 and a half years later and my ipod is still going goodo. I have about 20gb of songs, which is about 5000 I think, stored on my ipod. So I can still keep adding!

The functions are good on the ipod, I like the shuffle feature, as it can throw you rom different eras to different genres.

I know that some people criticise itunes as not being good software etc, but it is really simple to use and that is of key importance I think in the mp3 market. I have however recently found that amazon sells albums for download at a cheaper price than itunes and tthe files are compatible with ipods, so I am using amazon more often now.

I recently got the tuner for my car, so I can listen to my ipod while I drive, which is great. i also have a docking station in the house which lets me listen to my ipod at home.

When I bought my ipod it retailed at about £150. I am not sure how much this version would cost now, or even if you can still buy it as there are so many newer versions. I am happy with the capacity of my ipod as after two and a half years it is not full!It even has games if you are bored at the train station which do not interfere with the music.
