I bought this item when ipods were all the rage, i shelled out £220 around 3 years ago, but i can say it has lasted me well. I was a little worried around 6 months after purchasing it as i started to hear rumors that they crashed after a year of having them and then they need to be replaced. Thankfully i can say mine is still working over 3 years later, and i am not even halfway towards the max capacity, and i listen to a lot of music! It looks sleek and is a classic. However, i disappointing element to the 30GB ipod was the poor battery life it has, my friends who had the same model also agreed that it needed charging daily if you used it frequently, and that is even when the backlight is turned off! Appart from that i have no complaints, this little gem has served me well!
