Slim, slick, stylish..all words I would use to describe the black ipod video (60gb). Which is basically a portable device which has feedback of audio, image and video.

Some of the key specifications of the ipod are:
-5.5 ounces (Very light!)
-2.5 inch colour display.
-Can store up to 15,000 songs or 25,000 pictures or 150 hours of video!!

The design of the ipod is great, I think that the black version looked more stylish..though it was annoying how easily your fingerprints show up on the sides. The design of the headphones (which are included) is well suited to the product, but can be a nuisance as it signals out to passer-bys that you are carrying around an ipod. Therefore I might advise that you buy new headphones, to hide the fact you are carrying an ipod to potential muggers. Though, the playback the ipod has in the headphones is AMAZING, as they split the sound into the 2 headphones, to give the idea of surround sound.

Another hint to try and reduce the chance of your ipod being stolen, you could have it engraved at the back, like mine is engraved with my name and post code. Hasn't been stolen yet :)

The thing that annoyed me about the ipod, was that in the package, the charger was not included. To avoid having to constantly use your computer to charge your battery, I would suggest purchasing a plug-in-charger, at a price of around £20. Though I was lucky, as I used the charger I had from mini-ipod. The charging time to charge it 100% is 4 hours, which is quite long, though compared to it's music playback of 20 hours, this is acceptable.

The software you need to use for the ipod is iTunes, a very professional, reliable and free package, where your ipod can update music and videos. There should be a cd to set-up iTunes, but also you can go on the iTunes website for a free download. From this service, you can also purchase music for a relatively cheap price, though I choose not to.

Another problem I had with the ipod was that video was hard to put onto the ipod, as it is set to only accept videos with a certain type of format, so instead I downloaded some videos already in the right format off download services.

If you're thinking, 'I may as well stick with a mini-ipod,' then you are welcome to, but think about what you'll be missing out on. Perfect quality video playback, photos and the new addition of podcasts! Podcasts allow you to hear some of your favourite radio shows, including Russell Brand.

The controls on the ipod are fairly simple to use, using it's touch pad, which also looks pretty stylish and suits the design of the ipod. The ipod's easy use is enhanced by the guidebook which gives you clear instructions.

Overall, this product has widely impressed me as being the leading music player, with a professional design, brilliant ideas and very useful. At around £200 this product is well worth while, especially if you need something to keep you entertained on long journeys!
