... Archos gadgets is the really poor battery life and durability. The battery life is very poor and faded badly after I had recharged the device a number of times. You could of course use the power adapter. There is plenty of room on the AV340 for files, 40GB in all. Apparently you could buy a cheap gadget on the net which would allow you to use normal rechargable batteries to run and recharge the main unit. That would be useful. I purchased an Archos AV340 a number of years back instead of buying a DVD Recorder! Strange choice you may say? Well the Archos could record from the scart socket and even record from a DVD player via the scart input. I Wanted to buy the Archos for playing music and watching videos and TV shows whilst I was on the move or in bed. At the time these cost around £400 -£500 and they were really new then.
