Bush 2 GB Slim MP3 Player
Advantages: decent sound, looks nice, great for children
Disadvantages: none at all
The mp3 player is made from black plastic and with its silver buttons and small colour display screen looks quite sleek and stylish. It features a Bush logo on the front and has a play, record and hold button on the sides. It also has a space for a micro SD card if you should wish to increase the memory at any point.
To add songs to the mp3 player is very simple indeed as the device actually has a fold out usb drive attached to it that you simply flip over and attach to your computer. Once your computer has installed the drivers required for the player it is literally as simple as opening up windows media player and choosing which songs you would like to snyc to the device. From what I can gather you can also open the player using my computer and copy and paste any songs you wish you put on to it as well, but using media player was certainly an easy option for me.
The mp3 player is simple to use in terms of getting music to play which is obviously essential for me as it is something that my five year old is going to be using. To switch on the player you just need to press and hold the play button for a second or two. The Bush logo will light up the screen and then take you to the main menu where you can just press play to resume the last song you left it at or you can use your silver menu button and the arrow keys to scroll through artist, track, genre etc. I find that my son just likes to press play and away he goes just skipping any track he doesn't want to listen to. Within the music menu there is also an option to create favourite lists if you should want to.
There is also a record sound function on this mp3 player and I am not sure what you would use it for but you can go into the function, press the little record button and away you go. The mp3 player will save this for you in the recorded files section.
I really like the fact that although this mp3 is cheap it has a colour screen which tells you the name of the song you are listening to and things. I had an old ipod shuffle at one point and I hated how it never said which song was on, or what would be next! The screen is clear despite only being small and my son has no issues in reading it.
The sound quality on this ipod is great and it comes with some small fit in the ear earphones which I have since replaced with the old fashioned style headphones for my son as I would rather he wore them, and they obviously don't fall out of his ears! Despite this, the earphones that come with the player are fine in quality and feature a sort of circle that goes over your head so they aren't dangling everywhere if they fall out and you can't lose them.
Other features of the mp3 player which I would say are pretty standard but still nice to be there are the shuffle feature as well as a repeat function and a power save mode.
The mp3 player is easily charged by plugging the usb connector on the player into your computer and it seems to be charged within around thirty minutes and the battery lasts very well indeed, a lot better than my ipod nano!
I can honestly say I think this little mp3 player is great for the purpose we got it for. If you are looking for a cheap option perhaps for a child then I would say look no further than this Bush slimline model as it ticks all the boxes for us.
Thank you for reading my review!
