Advantages: FM radio, voice recorder, SD card expansion slot, WiFi capability and the great sound quality.

Disadvantages: Plastic construction

The Creative Zen is incredible value given its low retail price at this mintue in time and probably will fall further down in price this year. As I have had this device since July I have had no problems with it at all, apart from having to purchased more earphones. For the price of £100(back in July) I was so pleased when I took it home, especially with the video quality. The battery life for me has been average and really does last, but with my lack of intelligence and consideration leaving the Zen playing for most of the day it still had a little life left for me to listen to at work. As an Ipod fan I couldn't believe how many features are presented on the device and with the low price tag that was set at that time it looked a must buy. With a mirco SD slot on top of the Creative Zen it gives customers more of a choice to expand the mermory, for me that was the selling point and off a popped to the shop. Obvisiously on all products they is going to be a downside and this falls straight into that category. The mirco SD card is put in a separate list than the music on the device's interal memory and this is a really pain espically if your a big music fan and want to fill up more than 16gbs of music. Another is the platic interface for me it wasn't a problem but for my girl friend she hated the feal and look of the device. The device has only been manufactured in the colour back(haven't seen any other colours around) and for me its no a problem but with peoples' different tastes then Creative Zen could of been more creative and given different choices of colours for customers.

Back to the positives, with the 2.5" screen its absolutely beautiful and with the vivid birght colors it really does please the eye. With animated menu list it was great to look at as I was so use too looking at the Ipods interface menu.

Thank you so much for reading my first review much appreciated.

Detailed, but as with most MP3 player reviews I read, missing one key item - what's the sound like on the player? Better than an I-Pod or not?
