What is the Creative Zen Vision?

The Creative Zen Vision is a small electronic device which not only plays your favourite songs, but your favourite movies too. It is small in size and can easily fit into pockets, bags or be carried in your hand. It combines an Mp3 and Mp4 player in one - fantastic if you travel a lot. You can listen to your music with the earphones which are provided on purchase. Also, you will receive a Sync Adaptor, USB Mini-B cable, a pouch to keep your Zen scratch free and protected, and installation CD and a user manual which will guide you along the way if you have any problems or get stuck.


Design

The Zen Creative Vision has an advanced 2.5 inch high resolution colour screen so is perfect for watching your favourite movies whilst your travelling, or even in your own home! The amazing screen can not only play movies, but also display still pictures of up to 262, 144 colours. The Zen also displays images at 320 x 240.
The Zen is a stylish compact design which measures 104 x 62 x 18.9mm with an easy to use vertical navigation.
I have only seen this particular model in Black, although, there may be other colours available. The vertical touch pad is easy to use - I haven't had a problem with it so far.


Extra Features

The Zen has a photo zoom option, so you can zoom in to your photographs. The extra features which are included on this include a built-in FM radio and a voice recorder. The Zen can also be connected to certain TV's which will allow you to view your images and video's. However, this does require an AV cable. You can also sync this with Microsoft Oulook, Calendar and Tasks. This is extremely handy if you are on the go for business often and need to be contactable.


Memory

The 30GB hard drive can store up to 15, 000 songs, depending on the file size and type or up to 120 hours of video footage. The Zen supports most music, video and photo formats too. Obviously, it cannot store all 15, 000 songs and 120 hours of video! Formats which are supported include WMA, MP3, WAV, MPEG, DivX, XviD, WMV, JPG and JPEG.


Battery Life

The Zen comes with a rechargeable battery and charged. It can play for up to 4 hours of video and 14 hours with music.


Requirements

The requirements for this Mp3 / Mp4 player include Microsoft Windows XP, an Intel Pentium II 350MHz or AMD K6-2 450MHz, 64Mb Ram, USB 1.1 port although a 2.0 is recommended for faster transferring of data and at least 170 Mb free hard drive space. Obviously, batteries are not required as there is a rechargeable battery and charger provided. However, you will need to use your own music, photos and videos.

All these accessories insure you will get the best from your Zen. Not only can you protect your Zen from wear and tear, but you can customise your Zen so it looks different from others. The prices do depend on where you purchase them from, although, they can be bought in most electronic retail shops.


Cost

The cost varies depending on where you purchase your Zen from. I have seen it on Amazon and it is also available in Argos for £189.99, which seems to be the average cost for this model.

** Overall I think this is a fantastic buy. Some may find this is an expensive purchase, but for an Mp3 player as well as an Mp4 player, which also syncs with Microsoft Outlook… who can complain? The quality is fantastic, both with music and video / picture quality. Some may get confused with the product at first and have to refer back to the manual now and again, but I found the manual to be well written and laid out. With so many accessories available as well, you can change the colour of your Zen with the coloured skins, you will never get bored of how your Zen looks. My sister received this as a gift for her birthday from her boyfriend and is constantly using it, whether she is on the way to work or shopping. I think this is suitable for all ages and all sexes. It is a fantastic buy and I highly recommend it **
