Who needs an ipod?? (Creative Zen Vision:M 30 GB)
Member Name: Charliegirl26
Advantages: Reliable and easy to use Disadvantages: Not as many accessories available
I bought this after my Phillips Gogear broke after just 14 months. It only had a 12 month warranty and to get it looked at would have cost me £160 so I though for that I might as well buy a new mp3 player. I did not fancy an Ipod as many of my friends had them and were always moaning about them freezing or the wheel sticking so I thought I would try a Zen. I was pleasantly surprised as to how easy the software was that came with it. You can put media on it through the creative software or through Windows Media player. If you really want to you can always drag and drop on to it. Personally I always use Media Player. The features the Zen has to offer are also great. Not only can you watch videos, slideshow photos and listen to music, you can partition part of the drive as an external hard drive so you can transport files from pc to pc. Also there is a radio and an organiser, both which I very rarely use. I find the quality of video brilliant and the sound quality is faultless. I have never had problem with it. As with most mp3 players I only received a USB cable and had to buy a plug adapter that I picked up from eBay for about £5. Although I did receive an av cable on purchase meaning I can watch/listen to anything on my Zen through the TV. The only problem I had with it were the inear headphones but after speaking to people this seems to be the case for most mp3s so I bought some inear rubber capped headphones, again from eBay for about £6. Summary: Everyone needs one!
