Iomega HipZip ... Audio Player. This portable device gives you skip-free, CD-quality sound in a cool, compact design. The HipZip Digital Audio Player offers you solid protection from accidents or spills. And the full metal housing on each PocketZip disk offers an equally durable media. One 40MB PocketZip disk carries over 80 minutes of your favorite music that you can play on your HipZip digital audio player. Move your music from one PocketZip disk to another without any reformatting, and then carry it in your HipZip digital audio player wherever you go. Whether you're in your office or at the football game. PocketZip disks are uniquely serialized, so your player can tell one disk from another. You use your serial number to lock content onto your disk. Also, the Windows Media Player 7 comes with Windows Rights Manager, so your content cannot be opened on an unauthorized disk.

However the downside is the small memory amounts. The most a lot of the players offer is 64Mb, with the odd offering up to 128Mb. The Iomega Hipzip player has replaced this idea by using the Clik discs as the memory. This ...  Read the complete review

The trouble with most MP3 players is that they have limited music storage, 64MB holding only an hours worth of memory, with each upgrade costing around £100. This is why the Iomega HipZip is special, very special indeed. Instead of having flash memory cards, it uses PocketZip discs (or click!) to store all you loved tunes on. With each 40MB disc only costing around £10, the HipZip is the first MP3 player with the option of carrying around huge amounts of music, literally. Although there are "juke box" style MP3 players out there, but they have built in hard discs, so even then the storage may be massive but it's still limited. The HipZip is very ...  Read the complete review
