One full charge can leave you worry-free for 10 days, assuming 4 hours of daily use.

Charging is possible through the USB cable in addition to its standard adapter for regular AC charging, included in the package. (The player can also be charged through a special adapter for use in automobiles)

With 19 characters across and 8 lines of text, the iFP-900 series extra-wide display not only displays text through its Text Viewer, it also displays song lyrics while listening, and also displays simple electronic books as well. During times in transit, materials for self-study as well as short novels saved in the player can be viewed. In addition, the Image Viewer displays stored BMP files and can designate them as wallpaper, much like a PC.

The iFP-900 series enables you to enjoy music even without a PC, by converting music from CD players or other audio devices directly into the player in MP3 format. In addition to this, the Direct Encoding function provides the user with options to choose the sampling rate and bit rate for added functionality. Also, the AutoSync function automatically distinguishes between the beginning and end of songs for storing them as separate files. For example, by connecting the iFP-900 with a CD player, the entire content of the CD album can be saved as separate tracks of MP3 files on the player.

The SAD (Sound Activity Detector) function only records when sound is detected, saving recording space as well as precious battery time. This enables extended recording capabilities, which are useful in any number of activities.

In addition to this, external microphone support enables higher quality recordings, the AGC(Auto Gain Control) function enables sounds farther away to be recorded with clarity, and recording level adjustments are also possible, providing conditions conducive to very high quality recording.
