Iriver PMP-140 40 GB ... is a fantastic product and as expected from iRiver, very pleasing on the eye. However, the quality of the hardward is once again let down by the software with a very confusing navigation system, fiddly buttons and a distinct lack of back up and support. Also, there does not appear to be any software developed (such as iRivium for the iHP 140) to assist in managing the music files. If there is it is not publicised anywhere and does not come up on any searches. The unit has a great feel to it and the quality of both the picture and sound is superb but you just get frustrated with the navigation. Iriver S10 512 MB ... this from warehouse123.com and have been using it for about 1 month now. Initially, I thought the navigation of the buttons are very user friendly, it actually works quite well. The sound is great and it works well with the fm transmitter. The weak point of this are the included ear buds. Fortunately, I purchased the Shure ear buds and they are many times better than the iRiver buds. Another weak point is the battery life. Iriver iFP-390T 256 MB ... cannot speak highly enough of this MP3 player. Having purchased it for £140 when it first arrived on the scene nearly 3 and a half years ago, and it being my first MP3 player, I was worried about how it would work. I was relieved on the week of purchasing that PC World rated it as the best MP3 player on the market. Although only 256mb (approximately 8-10 albums dependent on their length) it is incredibly easy to use, navigate your way around, download tunes and also carry with it being so tiny.
