Advantages: Radio capabilities, highly compatible, fast file transfers, average quality screen
Disadvantages: Long charging time, only average sound quality, touchscreen is not always precise
From first glance, it is apparent that the LG FM-37 does not disappoint in terms of its aesthetic features. It is quite similar to the shine also by LG.
The brushed metal finish gives the player an elegant and stylish feel, its touchscreen helps by giving it simplicity and a clean appearance. The touch screen works brilliantly as a whole, but it does become imprecise sometimes. The menu structure is well designed and structured, making it simple and straight forward to use without confusion.
When using the supplied headphones, it provides slightly average sound quality with nothing special. Upon using an additional pair of headphones, its higher output power makes the bass more rich and consistent.
The player supports audio files in the WAV, Ogg , WMA AND MP3 file format. If you do run out of songs, its radio capabilities would be the perfect source of music.
It supports Window Vista and Window XP only, sadly it does not support Mac.
In terms of battery stamina, it provides on average 23 hours of continuous audio playback and 3 and a half hours of continuous video playback. But the charging time is quite long taking about 4 and a half hours. The file transfer speed is quite fast. On average, taking 2.7 seconds to transfer 10 megabytes of audio files.
The display screen supports both videos and photos, however its small size makes it only suitable for short clips and not full movies. The screen is quite hard to read in intense sunglight dull to its highly reflective screen.
Summary: Very attractive player that is user friendly with only average sound quality
