The P Philips GoGear Ariaz 4GB is a very portable MP3 player providing a great range of features including music, video, radio, pictures, recordings and text reader. A tad bigger than the first generation iPod Nano the Ariaz has a 2" screen providing a very clear picture perfect for viewing videos and photos. Installation of the software is quick and easy and important this is done before connecting it. It comes supplied with a 4" USB cable so I recommend keeping it on a flat surface as the USB could easily become damaged with the weight of the Ariaz. You also get digital F.M radio with auto-tuning, and a good few other useful features, but mainly the Music playing on this player is good. About 8/10, I would say. Unfortunately, the 2nd player, when I started using it recently seems to have problems , once the storage space is nearly filled (16 GB capacity). It freezes occassionaly and well.. I ve had my moments with it! So oversall, I m not sure if I d go for this same MODEL(not brand) again.. ...

would warn anyone buying this for the playback capability to bear this in mind as while you can convert your files to WMA the process is irritating and considering other Philips GoGear players seem to play a variety of formats from reviews I ve seen it s an irritating quirk that the playback is so limited. File formats for music playback are limited to mp3 and wma as well, which is okay 90% of the time but an occasional irritation. Like most mp3 players you can play radio and record through the device.
