Advantages: Stylish, good capacity, good sound quality.

Disadvantages: Quite expensive, no video capability.

This mp3 player has fallen between two stools a bit, which is unfortunate since judged solely as an mp3 player, it's definitely a great product: it looks very smart, and has touch-sensitive controls; the 30GB capacity is more than enough for most people's music collection; it's got it has a colour screen so you can look at your photos; and of course you can play music.
The only thing is, at the prices it tends to go for, it's not far off iPod price, and if you're comparing it to an iPod, then its features don't quite hold up as well - a slightly larger screen or video capability would be appreciated, and the FM radio doesn't work in every country, so check that out beforehand.
Having said that, the sound quality is very good and it's certainly a good quality mp3 player. It does tend to have problems with Windows Media Player 11 as I found out, and the Philips website does say it doesn't support Vista, but if those aren't issues then it's well worth considering if you want a stylish mp3 player that you'll only need for playing music.

Summary: Good if you'll be sticking to music.
