**Introduction** I had been looking for a new mp3 player to replace my 20GB Acer which broke. Whilst looking for a new player I did not want to spend too much as I knew that I wanted to buy an Ipod in a few months time so this was basically just a stop gap until I had enough to purchase an Ipod. I searched around as I wanted something that had decent storage but was not too expensive for what it was. I looked at a number of players and eventually decided upon this mp3 player which I purchased today in Argos. **Philips GoGear SA2840** The picture does not to justice to how small this player actually is. At only a few centimetres wide and ... Read the complete review

When looking at the SA2840 from a distance, it is hard to be certain whether it is really an MP3 player. Simply looking at this Philips mp3 player you can tell it's sleek and trendy, and at £39.99 for 4gb, it's a bargain. The sound quality is fantastic, could definitely be better than an Ipod; and, in my view, less generic. The preset equaliser settings make it easy to adjust to what you're listening to. Was very quick to set up and connect to get my first songs on there. Of course, the size of it means that functions are limited; no playlist maker, no radio, no picture or video capability. The player itself can feel very cheap and flimsy in your hands, and the battery life for me was significantly less that what is specified (I got 11 hours). The recording ... Read the complete review
