The menu structure is well designed and easy to understand, all the features are easy to find and access. The controls make it quite easy to navigate through the menu, there are also a few methods of searching for an individual track, via artist, albums and other categories.

The Philips SA3285 is probably what defies a minimalist's idea for a MP3 player. Its stylish Zen appearance gives the player an elegant finish. Upon using the supplied headphones it produce a reasonable sound quality with sharp and clear sounds, which has more clarity than consistent bass. Upon using an additional pair of headphones, its higher output power provided the much needed bass.
