Advantages: Long battery life. Cute. Sturdy. Reliable.
Disadvantages: Occasionally hit the wrong button
I was bought this lovely little MP3 player for Christmas the year before last from my sister and I was proper chuffed! It came in a little clear cube shaped box that really showed off the square shape. I couldn't believe how small it was and how much music it holds. I have owned it for nearly 3 years now and I am very impressed. I have found it nearly impossible to fill up and everyone I show it too finds it adorable. Most people struggle to recognise that it is an MP3 player which I quite like. Its like it is a spy in disguise.
I run live music nights in my real life so I always take this MP3 player with me to play the interval music over pub and venue PA's. I have yet to run the battery down in public. I am seriously impressed by this. I use this MP3 player heavily and as part of my occupation so if was in anyway problematic I would know by now. The battery life is just incredibly long lasting. In the past I have used this MP3 for interval music over the course of up to eight hours, without it running out, and that's over large venue amplification systems. For personal use alone it must be neigh on impossible to run down. I have taken to running it out on purpose on a monthly basis to maintain the life of the battery, simply because I can't run it out in the course of my regular use.
There are multiple functions like hosting photos and audio books but to be honest I never use it for anything other than music. It can be a little clunky to navigate, especially if you have large hands. I have hit the wrong button on more than a few occasions. The main issue I have found is that it is very sensitive so if you are running or even just walking fast, the motion of your body can cause the MP3 to switch tracks in your pocket or bag. This can be mildy irritating.
When you switch tracks or albums you use the sides of the square instead of buttons on the MP3 to scroll through the menu. These sides do need to be kept clear of scraps of fluff, blu tack or sticky fingers. If it gets even a little dirty or sticky it gets pretty useless. I have managed to clean dirt away in the past and rescued it from an untimely death but I would safely say it is not for children or those with outdoor leanings or dirty jobs.
It is very light which is both handy and annoying. If you like to feel the weight of your electronic items then steer clear of this. I have lost it in my coat several times. It is also so small that a similar problem arises. I have never really had any major problems with this MP3 and rate it very highly. I have owned it for three years now and have dropped it on more than one occasion. It has never broken, lost music, reset or been damaged in anyway, even with the rough and regular treatment it receives form me in the course of my work. All of my mates bemoan dropping their Ipods which then wipe the hard drive. This MP3 won't lose your music or mess you about, really reliable and good quality. Top MP3 player, you can't get better.
Summary: Very good MP3 player that I would recommend to anyone. Awesome!
