WHAT IS IT?
A reasonably priced MP4 player with 4gb of memory and 1.5" screen.
IS IT ANY GOOD?
My husband bought me this when I went into hospital as I was worried about taking my new iPod Touch in with me. It plugs straight into the computer and songs, photo and video are downloaded only slightly slower than to the iPod. The design is simple and although it's quite flash looking it is easy to work with responsive buttons for all functions.
The display is clear and sharp, sometimes there is a bit of lagging on very busy videos but not enough to make it a real problem. The lagging can usually be dealt with by turning the MP3 player off then on again. Transferring everything is smooth and simple, in the time I've owned it I've only ever had one video that wouldn't play and this was only because the file had been saved as an unusual type that the prayer didn't recognise.
4gb holds enough for me, I have 822 songs and 275 photographs on it at the moment and there is still space in the memory. I haven't got any videos on it at the moment because I don't like watching them on the small screen but it will hold quite a lot if you want to store them on the player.
The earphones aren't good, they have thick rubber earpieces that aren't very comfortable and cause a lot of noise to leak when you're listening to your music. The jack input hole is standard size though so you can use your favourite earphones for better quality and fit.
This is a budget MP3 player and would be a perfect Christmas present as it looks like its worth more than the £26 my husband paid. The Vibe is available in different colours, my husband chose a beautiful burgundy red for me and it's very stylish looking.
