Depending on the genre, the player can automatically select the desired equalizer setting. And with 4 traditional presets: Rock, Pop, Jazz and Classic, you can easily tag your music by genre. So the next time you play a particular track, it will instantly recognize your chosen setting. HDD100 supports the USB 2.0 standard enabling the speedy transfer of data between USB connected devices at 480 kbps. It is also backwards compatible with the old USB 1.1 standard, so a USB 1.1 computer port will work with HDD100 using the same by packed cable and connectors. HDD100 connects through USB to be used as a spare portable HDD storage via Windows Explorer. Large storage capacity allows you to pack an entire world of music and data into your HDD100. This MP3 layer is an insult to all other mp3 players out there which actually work. The thing constantly freezes up on you (upon which you have to restart it by pressing the volume up and power key together). When it freezes the thing will keep playing through the playlist, wasting your power but refuses to take any kind of instruction from you, the owner. The picture slideshow function sounds nifty, if only I could get it to work. This thing has a wonderful knack to stay away from logic and ease of use, everything you do with it must be an adventure in of itself! For 6 gigs you get a good number of songs, and the windows media player sync ability works out ...

With a fresh install of Windows XP professional and updated WM10, not recognized by media player or firmware manager. I was able to download a patch from Philips and get my PC to regognize it as a USB device but that ...

My reasons for getting this are quite simple, I have mentioned before that i was brought up on a staple diet of rock music, The louder the better and now as a responsible mother ( yeah right ) my boys are not as appriciative of my taste in music especially when they are watching the T.V! When i was younger i had a Walkman, For those who are younger you have may of seen one of these in a museum! Basically this was a portable tape player with headphones and looked like you had a brick in your pocket. The headphones went over your head and had big sponges on the ear bits! They ...
