Before it was necessary to have an ipod in order to not be an outcast in today's society, I had this little number, and it wasn't a bad MP3 player either. It allows 20 gigabytes of songs like most ipods do now which is quite a lot. It has a sleek black and silver design is very attractive. The screen is also in black and white but ina way that gives it quite a nice retro look. It comes with its own software for transferring music to the device, which requires upliading your songs to the software which then transfers it via USB cable to the device. One annoying thing with this software is that is does occasionally put the songs in an album on in the wrong order - I like them to be organised correctly. It is quite a heavy, bulky MP3 player, but as a result is is very sturdy and durable, and less likely to get lost. The sound quality is great, and I did not have any problems with it whatsoever.
this mp3 is very good, the actual device is very easy to use the battery, if cared for last a good 10 hours. The 20 gigs allows for mass storage of upto 10000 wma songs or 5000mp3 approx. Its quite light and small enough to fit in your jeans, the headphones are comfortable and give a good sound aswell as and inline remote. The screen is backlit and ofers different ways to find your songs.
First you have your playlist which you can create, second by artist then album followed by genre and finaly all music.
You can also do direct recording from your stereo or even ps2 but you do need to by seperate leads and this apllies to nearly all mp3 players.
Predomenantly you will use your computer, this is fairly easy but sometimes can be frustrating as the progam does not always compile your songs in order that you want them.
You can only put the names of the songs onto the hdd120 via this program.
Occasionally the player may skip or stop and start ( very briefly) but pilips run a good support site from which you can download new firmware for the mp3 which helps the player run smoother with you computer.
IN all this product is a very good buy.
( but the site want get the right picture up as the hdd120 is black with silver side pannels)
