hy y had no problem vhith it and i stil have it and it s goving perfect so i thinc itd ok . and to be onest what do iou aspect four 20 euros . buy somthing vhith 100 euros
I must agree with the previous reviewer - and I am returning this unit. I experienced all the same problems as he did - it worked for a few days - but once you try to erase files or add more the trouble begins! I would NEVER recommend this. There is no on line support, and the tel. customer service was worse - I knew much more about the product than the tech did. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM.
1.) After 1 month, player would not acknowledge individual folders for playback (one of the supposed features which distinguished this product was the ability to playback certain folders, i.e. by genre artists etc.) and therefore, was reduced to overall playback only. 2.) Certain songs files would not entirely erase (!!! what's that about!?) no matter what method was tried (drag /drop, media player etc.
3.) The "return to factory setting" option on the device had no affect whatsoever, "repair" via the included disk (suggested in the manual) was futile, since there was actually no such option available on the software disc!!! Only a firmware update...NO REPAIR OR RETURN TO FACTORY SETTING WAS AVAILABLE on the disk!!! although it was indicated in the manual. Unbelievable.
4.) When operating in the only playback mode that worked, relentless freezing.
5.) Two e-mail to Philips with no response, and I finally exchanged it for a new one. 6.) The new one was worse- it hung up on 1 song for twenty minutes, played normally for 5 minutes, then stopped acknowledging any folders, then any songs, after that, nothing was recognized at all.
It should be noted that there were no corrupted files used or computer virus to blame; of course these possible culprits were checked and eliminated right away, different computers used etc. Only files which were reliebale and already in regular use on other players were used.
By far, this mp3 player was most aggrivating and frustrating electronic device I have ever purchased; made worse by no response from the company...and EVEN WORSE THAT there was no address within Germany where to send it for repairs (every other country, yes). There was only a phone number in Germany to call...which cost .99 Euro a minute. Goodbye Philips forever!
