In Philips FAQ page they declare that GoGear SA2125/02 device supports mp3 with bitrate up to 192 kbps (recommended 128 kbps). Based on my experience the GoGear SA2125/02 with latest firmware (4.15) at the moment (26.Jun.2009) distorts the sound of mp3 if the bitrate is higher than 128 kbps. In some parts of file the sound is crackling. However the same mp3 sounds fine in computer or even in other portable mp3 player.
That is really nasty at least for me, because I need to recode the existing mp3's with lower bitrate. I wouldn't buy this device if I would know this "feature".
Other features work as expected (I don't use radio).
