“ Philips SA4020 - Digital player - flash 2 GB - WMA, MP3 „
This is a good player while it lasts, but mine only lasted 2 years! On the plus side, it uses standard AAA batteries meaning you can charge several at once or cycle them and never go without power. 2GB was ample for me, but for other users it may not be. They appear to be £35 now whereas mine cost £70 at Argos. Menus are good, be sure to update the firmware to the latest version. No official Mac support but apart from firmware installation it worked perfectly when I only had a Mac - easy (but slow flash) drag and drop file transfer in Finder (Explorer) or the official Windows Media Player sync. Works with iTunes and most other encoded MP3s and WMA files - some strange VBR compressed WAV give it trouble - re-encode them in Audacity or iTunes. Died when formatted using gparted (in Ubuntu) - Be Warned! Use Windows (Explorer) or Disk Utility (Mac) to format it.
Enjoy your MP3 and WMA music on the go with the Philips SA40XX. Transfer music and data quickly and easily via USB2.0. PlayForSure ensures it works with Windows XP PC. Listen to music all day long on an AAA battery.
