This innovation begs the question ‘why didn’t someone think of this before? The Rome MP3 player, is shaped like a cassette - because it is one - but ingeniously enough it’s also a portable MP3 player! Making it, probably the best thing since sliced bread. The device allows you to play all your MP3s on any tape player, be it the scummy kitchen portable, the expensive ‘lifestyle’ home unit, or the in-car Pioneer, if it takes cassettes, it’ll play the Rome. Producing crystal-clear CD sound quality through any of the systems you use, the device comes into its own when no tape player is available - you simply plug in the earphones to continue listening to all your personal ‘in the mix’ favourites. However you will have to deal with people – not in the know – asking: “Why, and how are you listening to a tape without a Walkman?”
