I bought this MP3 player about a year ago, along with my Skullcandy headphones which I previously reviewed. I've definately have no regrets at all for purchasing either of them.
This MP3 player is extremely light-weight and compact, enabling it to fit into pretty much anywhere! It also looks quite snazzy too.
I thought that perhaps the 2GB storage space might be an issue as it could probably run out fairly quickly, however I haven't had any issues as I regularly delete older tracks which I've become bored of and replace them with new ones.
The MP3 player is extremely easy to use! It has a little sliding button on the side that, when pushed, a built in USB stick pops straight out the end. Very nifty! The only criticism I have of this is that the pop-out USB adapter seems fairly flimsy, and with a fair bit of force, could most likely snap. However, I've had the MP3 for a year and have had no problems with it whatsoever!
You then plug the MP3 straight into the PC, where you can simply store music on it by dragging and dropping into the MP3 Music folder. None of this iTunes rubbish, just simple, easy use.
The MP3 also comes with touch-sensitive buttons, besides the On/Off and Record button. It also has a sliding 'Hold' button to prevent the touch-sensitive buttons reacting in your pocket. It also has an FM Radio and Voice Recording, providing you with multiple uses.
In the Settings menu, you can see a number of various options for you to play around with, such as equaliser settings and Bass Boost. It also has the option to alter the environmental sound of the music, for example, selecting 'Concert Hall' gives it a live sort of effect with echoes.
The navigation around the MP3's menu is very simple and easy to understand as well.
All in all, I think this is a great MP3 player. It's a cheap alternative to all these flashy over-the-top music systems currently on the market. It has a high quality of sound and does what it says on the tin.
9/10 for the Samsung YP-U3
this mp3 is very small and compact the design means its great to use at the gym for a workout as its easy to conceal. the clip on the back means you can attach this to your trousers top or even a watch strap. music is played well on the mp3 and is easy to understand with the onscreen scroll you can choose to play from a certain artist have them all shuffled the choice is yours. charging the mp3 couldnt be easier just plug into your laptop or pc usb point and withing 30 mins its fully recharged. one down side to this is the new software company that now controls the mp3 player. emodio are great for faster running pc and laptops however for a smaller more easier computer the software doesnt seem to settle well. once loaded though the layout is easy to understand and it couldnt be easier to transfer music from pc to the mp3 it is literally by the click of a button and it take max of a couple of minutes to download. another great plus to this mp3 is the safety lock all you have to do is slide the little bar on the side and non of the buttons can be pressed until you use the smae slide button to unlock it. you also get radio on the mp3. i personally have only used it once and it managed to pick up clearly the main radio station in the area. other feature if you use the mp3 alot is a voice recorder the mic picks up your voice clearly and playback sounds clear also great if you need to quickly remember something. overall a nice little tidy mp3 player well worth the money paid
This tiny product i managed to snag for free from BT. However its definitely worth the price as well
I've managed to get almost 200 of my fave tracks on it already, which is more than i needed really. What i also like about this item is the built in FM radio, if your not in the mood, or your a bit fed p of listening to your own music, its always good to have another source to listen to.
However i think the best function is the voice record function. Each file can records up to 64 minutes of audio, so wether your at a college lecture and you need to record whats being taught for reviewing later, or you hear a tune on the tv that you can't identify, and know someone who could, you've got this handy voice record function to use.
Also, its very handy that it can be recharged by just using the USB port and any device, saves having to use an extra plug socket to charge it up.
The Samsung U3 MP3 player is a super-compact device that works right out of the box with a Slim-USB connection. The U3 requires no wires or programs to work; simply plug it in a USB port, then drag and drop your music files.
