I brought this at Christmas as a stocking filler for my wife as our old MP3 player (only 512mb - can you imagine our shame!) was looking a little tired & emotional.

I brought it on line for about £35 and overall we've been very pleased with it.

The reasons I brought this particular model were the price (in comparison to the rivals), recommendations from friends based on the brand, and the fact that it uses a navigation platform which is highly similar to the ipod. It gets used day in & day out whilst walking the dog, gardening and, so I'm told, housekeeping.

Since owning it we've had no problems and are very pleased with it. As a fairly well established technology even the more 'budget' MP3 players seem quite robust nowadays and this one is no exception. It has had its fair share of dusty pockets, knocks, bumps and clumsy fingers, but it still fires up each time and works great.

I'm no music buff but the sound quality seems fine to me and it is easy to use once you familiarise yourself with the buttons etc.

HOWEVER... the earphones you get with it are a bit too 'budget' and can hurt your ears so I'd highly recommend investing in some comfy ear buds!

Summary: Good solid MP3 player for those on a budget!
