Advantages: lots of space for tracks

Disadvantages: can take a while to get used to

I had wanted a new MP3 player for a while with a large memory and storage space. My partner managed to get me this MP3 player off the internet fairly cheap. It does have a lot of space and I have still not managed to fill it with my many tracks.
I was pleased to see that I had a San Disk MP3 player. From past experience I knew they were a good make because they create the camera disks and memory sticks. I have had a few of these San Disk products and they are very good. The San Disk Sansa E260 also looked like an I pod and was different to my other older MP3 players.

The MP3 player is small in size and is easy to fit in my pocket, it also very lightweight so is easy to carry. It is about the size of a debit card and as it is so thin is easy to fit in most pockets. Whilst like the shape and size I prefer my bullet shaped MP3 player as it was smaller. Although the MP3 player looks like an I-Pod it is somewhat larger in depth. The I Pod is very thin but this one is clearly bigger and this is probably its main downfall. I wasn't personally looking for an I-Pod look-a-like so I am very happy with it. if you are looking for a cheap alternative to the I-Pod you will be disappointed.

On first impressions I was very happy to see that it had a screen, and when I found out I could play videos I was very happy.

It was very easy to use, and my partner had pre-recorded a few tracks for me to get started. The instruction manual supplied was easy to use and follow. The buttons on the front take a little while to get used to and can sometimes be pushed accidentally. I am now used to using them and I love them. I did have a few problems uploading videos as they seemed to take a long time to copy across and I got a little impatient. To be fair at the moment I only use my MP3 player for music and have no need for videos. I have uploaded a few photos and this MP3 player can be useful for that as well. It has a slideshow function, so I can show off my holiday photos. The music is very easy to copy across. The CD provided enables you to copy from the media player, or you can just drag and drop.
I find the voice recorder very useful as at work I can use it to record measurements (I work on a building site) and this stops me from forgetting. Apart from this you can also find it useful for things such as interviews and recording important information such as in lectures. My partner found hers very useful for her university degree and her dissertation.

There is an equaliser which adds to the overall sound quality. As much of my music is 'rock' style I use this mode more often. But it does come complete with rock, pop and classic modes all of which are very useful. It does come complete with some headphones and these are very good making the sound quality much better.
The screen quality is good and the menu is easy to use. Music files can be sorted into folders so if I fancy a particular genre of music I can select it e.g. metal. The colour screen is great and is unlike my older MP3 players.

The MP3 player can play a range of formats such as MP3, WMA, MPEG, AVI and WAV. When I use WMA files I can fit a lot more files onto the player. I have many songs saved onto my MP3 player and they all work fine. I would advise you to convert as many files as you can so that you can fit as many files as possible onto your player. I have managed to get 809 songs and 93 photos onto my player and I still have plenty of space. It also has an FM radio, but to be quite honest this is nothing to write home about.
The power lasts for about 15 hours which is quite good. Obviously during download and when watching videos the battery is used up a little quicker. The battery is a rechargeable Lithium Ion battery.

The MP3 player is quite durable, working on a building site it has to be strong and withstand some damage. So far I have not had any problems and it still works as good as new. The player comes with a case and although it has been placed in here it has managed to get a little scratched in the top left hand corner.
My partner spent about £60 on this MP3 player apparently however looking on the net I have seen it range between £50 and £90 from online shops. Compared to similar products this is average. I have looked for this MP3 player in 'offline' shops and still haven't come across it but it is easy to find online.

I really like this MP3 player it has been very useful for me at work and I like the extra features such as video and ability to store photos. It comes with everything you need to get you started and it is sure to give you hours of entertainment. I would recommend it.

Summary: A very good little MP3 player - highly recommended!
