Advantages: Supports Mac operating system, its unique

Disadvantages: Dreadful sound, lack additional functions,

The Sandisk Sansa Shaker is what defines a truly unique player that would redefine the meaning of MP3 players. Upon looking at the player, it is hard to miss it, due to its odd shape, which bears a resemblance to a pint glass. Despite the shape, it is rather ergonomic to hold and use since its buttons are placed in a relatively convenient place. It allows you to change tracks simply by shaking the device either left or right.

The odd shape means it lacks a display screen, which makes it almost impossible to go through any menu structure at all. The only way of changing tracks is to skip them one by one.

The player also does not have any memory built in, it relies on using the space on a memory card that is used via the built in SD card memory slot. It does not have a built in battery, instead it depends on the use of AAA batteries, which does not provide a great playback time. This could be quite convenient because they can be purchased at any high street shop, which saves the hassle of needing to charge batteries.

When using the supplied headphones, it produces uneven balance of sound with unclear treble and sketchy bass, which is awful. Upon using an additional pair of more expensive and higher quality headphones, the sound was still poor. The player only supports audio files in the MP3 file format which is terrible. The fact that it can't even handle some MP3 files depending on its bitrate, means it is very disappointing.

Its file transfer speed is quick, on average only taking about 4 seconds to transfer 10 megabytes of audio files. Realistically, the file transfer is the only good aspect of the player.

Summary: This player was definitely designed to assume 3 year olds
