Advantages: Small size, batery life
Disadvantages: Too fragile for an mp3 player, problem with the software to use it
This is the mp3 player that I currently own.
The Sony Bean has an amazing battery life. It has a super saving energy mode in which one second of charging is equal to one minute of listening to music.
It's quit easy to toggle through it's menu and it has a great, loud and clear sound. You can change its bass level and it has a recommended loudness level that you can activate to not damage your ear drums.
The headphones that it comes with are simply amazing, showing exactly the quality of sony products.
It's quite small, so it's easy to carry around. If all you need an mp3 player for is listening to music, then you don't need one with a screen on it, who will make your mp3 player bigger and heavier. (By the way how can anyone watch a movie on those things?)
Like any device it also has its negatives.
It's quite fragile if you ask me.
The port you plug the USB wire on to transfer music from your PC to the Bean is even more fragile. So if your planning to buy one, take care of it.
Also sony's software for transferring music it's very slow and faces a few problems during installation. I don't know if there is a new update to them but i hope one comes soon.
As a tip because I've already experienced this, if you are going to reformat it, do it through the mp3 player itself and not through windows. That will make the mp3 player not work properly, of course it doesn't brake or anything. Just reformat through the option in the mp3 players menu for formating.
Summary: Its sound quality makes it totaly worth it
