I got this mp3 player off a friend of mine fairly recently when my Ipod broke. My first thought was, there's not a lot of space and quite frankly it's lame. But like most people I prefer to walk around with music blaring in my ears ignoring the world around me and destroying my ear drums. So I accepted what I was given and moved on.
I uploaded as much music as the mp3 player would allow and set off on my way, the first thing I noticed was how fabulously loud it was!! I had always kept my Ipod at full blast and forever tried to turn it up. I put this little monster up to full blast and thought my ear drums were going to explode!! It's so simple to use aswell! With an Ipod there's the ever frustrating problem of trying to skip down to one song and shooting from the A's to the W's. Not with the sony walkman NW-E003! The menu's so simple and perfect for me as I can just shove it on shuffle and go about my day.
My favourite feature is the durability, if you've read my other reviews you'd know I'm a terribly clumsy person, hence the broken Ipod, well, there have been numerous occasions where I've caught my headphones and sent this little guy flying across the room onto the cold unforgiving concrete, I simple picked it up, plugged my headphones back in and carried on singing along to my favourite tune.
It may not be the best technology has to offer, and maybe the mp3 player is obsolete since the introduction of mp3 on phones and mp4. But I like to keep things simple. And this little piece of technology is absolutely perfect for me.
I have had my little Sony Walkman NW-E003 almost two years now and it serves me in good stead. As I mainly use it for the short commute to and from work and driving around town, it serves me as well as I have an adaptor for the cassette tape deck in my old Honda Accord. That way when the sat nav/cd player thieves in my neck of the woods peep in to the front of my car, all they see is the prehistoric cassette deck and swiftly move on.
The earphones are good quality yet unobtrusive and it is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. The Sonicstage software is simple enough for a technophobe like myself to use For those of us, who do not need 300GB and a gazillion songs on our players, it is a nifty little gadget to have around. It is small, attractive and versatile.
Two days ago, my husband managed to slam it in the car door by accident and it is still working!
I had this a present for my birthday last year, and might i add it was a great present. i use it all the time.
I was delighted it was in pink. Great and easy to use. and stores lots of music. the sofeware that came with it was easy to install, and hedld alos your music on your pc if you wanted it to, the only thing i found was that you had only the choice to charge it with a usb port and if you dont have one then - you may need to use alternative methods ie buy something.
But is is great to use and looks sleek, i have since cheeked the price and they are cheap around £60.
there is also great choice on colours and theyt are so sleek that they just fit into your handbag, pocket anywhere really. really worth the purchase. i love mine.
I might add that i have dropped mine and it also has had a few drops of water on it and it still works as well as the day i opened it from the packer.
the sound is as good as any ipod. the head phones are good enough, but i purchased some new ones for it. the downloading on the sofetware is very fast. and you can swop and change music easy. As bin terms of features it is easy and simple and features are few and thats what i wanted basically plug and play.
I recived this mp3 player for my birthday last year and i think out of all the mp3 playes i have had in the past, it is one of the best. I found this mp3 player very easy to use. The only problem i found with it was that you had to download the software that comes with the product onto your computer to add songs to it. Another problem was the only way you can charge it is by plugging it in to a computer, althought it does have wbout 28 hours play back so it lasts quite long. It has fantastic sound and a 1GB memory can hold quite a few songs, about 300 i think. I would recomend it to anyone who just wants something simple to use and doesnt want a big fussy one. Its small, compact and light weight so its easy to carry around and take anywhere with you. It also doesnt take that long to download music on to the device. Honestly it takes a few minutes to put on about 5 songs.
I bought this mp3 player about a year and a half ago and have found it overall great. It has an easy to understand user intiface which has scroll through menus. It allow you to find a specific song with the search function whilst on play-through mode. The equliser is great allowing you to set your own specific sound, instead of just preset ones which it supplus as well. My faviourate feature is the HUGE batterly life which means before school/work it dosen't matter if you accidentaly left it playing overnight.
Now the bad points: It is only really usable with sonicstage the sony software, which unlike the player does not have an easy user intiface. It does get some getting used to before ytou can use it with ease, but becomes livable after a while. It cannot fast forward fast enough for me who likes to listern to podcasts 1 hour+ which is a real shame.
One last good point. I LOVE THE DESIGN it looks great and it is small light and stylish. The sound quality is also FANTASTIC, unbeatable in my opinion
My cousin received this as a present and i set this up for them so they could hook it up to the pc.
I like the look of the product, the sound quality was very good but i wouldnt say astoundingly professional, the battery life is amazing and the file transfer from the pc is easy however the program itself leaves a little to be desired as i didnt like the layout too much of the software.
As an mp3 player i think its very good all round especially for the price tag.
Looking at 20 pound mp3 player made in china with no upgradeability and half the memory compared to this i would say definately go for this. However there are some nice mp4 players out there for the same price as this so shop around.
When I started looking for the right MP3 for my nephew, I really didn''t have a clue where to look for.
I was looking for something simple, light, stylish (has to be apparently) that plays music and this item does just the job. The only comparison I could find to this item was the new Apple Shuffle. I eventually chose it over the new Apple Shuffle because it displays song title and is probably less likely to loose.
I was incredibley impressed about how easy the software is to use and easy transfer onto mp3 player. Sound is fantastic and the display is stylish.
So if you are looking for a good mp3 player, I highly reccomend you buying a sony!
