Advantages: battery life, ease of use, ingenious storage solution

Disadvantages: memory size, cannot create playlists once mobile

i have had this mp3 player for a few years now, and it is possibly the best small mp3 player i have ever owned. admittedly the storage capacity isnt the largest in the world, but then with the atrac facility to shrink the files down it can still hold approximately 30-35 albums, and even though this means they are stored at low (64kbps) quality they still get reproduced at a very good level. as many others have said, the battery life of this model is second to none, 1 minute charge for 1 hour playback, and from a full charge the player will go for ever and a day. it links to any sony system flawlessly (i have it hooked up to my ps3) and again reproduces the sound very well. it has a very easy to navigate playlists on the player, and is very small so travels well. the only bad point is that you cannot edit playlists etc once loaded, but thats not the end of the world, as sonys soundstage software allows you to do this on your pc.

Summary: a very good small mp3 player
