Better Than An IPOD!!! (Sony Walkman NW-HD5 20 GB)
Member Name: NeilG1
Advantages: cheap, attractive, great memory and battery life Disadvantages: lacks colour screen, games and video This player is a genuine contender for the Ipod. I got mine a few years ago in Singapore when it first came out. Though it says it only holds 5000 songs, that is in MP3 format, if you use the Atrac format provided you can get around 13000 songs on it. The player comes in several colours (red, Black & Silver) and though it lacks some of the functions of an Ipod, games etc, if you are just looking for something to listen to music too, it surpasses the Ipod and other competitors for sheer reliability. Battery life is long and doesn't fade much as time goes by. It has several sound options and sound is clear. The headphones provided are of Sony's usual high standard and it is quite a bit cheaper than the Ipod. For the amount of songs you can fit on it, you would pay about a 100 pounds more for an ipod. Though it lacks a colour screen and video features like some of the newer players on the market. It is a very reliable player that doesn't tend to go wrong. Whilst Ipods have a tendency to break down, any system errors I've has have righted themselves just by turning it back on. Overall it's an efficient and stylish player all round and a great choice for music lovers. would highly recommend. Summary: An excellent player that doesn't breakdown and will hold pretty much all collections no matter how l
