I love listening to music whether it is from my laptop, phone or ipod. However, one thing I always find difficult is to listen to music when I'm exercising because neither my phone nor my ipod has an attachable clip that will make it portable yet light. So, when I receive the Sony NWZB162 B walkman as a present from one of my distant relatives for as a college graduation present, I knew I found a good use for the present.


The product I got as a present is pink and black in colour, I'm not a big fan of the colour pink but the product colour scheme is quite easy on the eye; it is blossom pink rather than hot pink, which helps a lot. The design is very easy to store in my bag and carry around. It is quite small to fit into small zip pouches as well; the dimensions are 90 x 23.3 x 15.2 cm and weighs just under 30 grams. The buttons are pretty standard so I had no problem when I used this for the first time.


As for the functions, on top of playing the music, it also has a hold button so that it doesn't play music when I accidentally press the button, which happens a lot with me. It also has LCD display and the light flashes when the walkman is busy. To be honest, my favourite thing about this walkman is that it can easily be attached to my clothes when I'm working out so that I can listen to my favourite tracks and keep fit at the same time. Since it's so light, it doesn't interfere when I'm moving about and it weighs pretty much next to nothing. The clip that comes with the walkman is detachable so you can remove it if you're not using it much as well.


The storage capacity is 2 GB, which is pretty big considering the size and the price of this product. I checked online and this product costs around £30.00, so it's quite reasonable. I've got a lot of music on my laptop but I only sync around 100 tracks or more depending on what I feel like listening to. It is quite easy to sync music, I use my desktop and Windows media player to sync. The speed is not the fastest, it would take about a minute to sync an album with 10-12 tracks but a minute in my opinion is pretty fast, so no complaints from me in that regard.


The built-in battery life is pretty good as well and it can easily be charged via USB connection, since I use either my laptop or PC all the time, I just plug it on for about 30 minutes every other day. The battery has never died on me and if I'm taking a 3 hour journey from university to home and play the walkman all the way on the train, the battery life still stays strong when I get home.


All in all, the product is very useful and quite nifty for music lovers on-the-go. It's very light weight and durable; it is still performing very well despite my rough handling and all the falls and bumps. I think they've chosen a good present for me, and I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a portable music player that gives the money's worth.
