Advantages: Light, sleek, beautiful design, large screen, large capacity, easy to use, great sound quality.
Disadvantages: May be a bit small for some people, Cannot charge from power outlet
I bought the Sony Walkman NWZ-A828 8 GB as part of a package with the Sony DR-BT21G wireless headphones, allowing wirefree music through the use of the Walkman's Bluetooth feature.
The Walkman itself is a very stylish, sleek player with a large screen and just beneath it, 7 buttons through which you control your music. On the right hand side of it is the volume jogger, hold switch and Bluetooth button, allowing you to switch back and forth to the wired headphones and wireless ones.
At the bottom of the unit there is an AUX connection for the wired headphones and a connection to connect the Walkman to PC via USB.
The headphones that come with the Walkman are very good, they are in ear headphones and once you have music playing you cannot hear anything else.
The sound the player produces is incredible as well, with rich and deep bass. It has an equalizer built in so you can jump between different sound settings to the one of your choice.
Another great feature of the Walkman is the ability to display photos and video and once encoded right, the video on the Walkman's screen looks amazing. With vivid colours and great blacks.
The Walkman is a joy to hold, it's very slim design rivals that of the iPod and the large screen means you aren't squinting at it giving you eye strain. Battery life on the Walkman can last up to an astounding 35 hours when I tried it, giving you plenty of juice to take on holiday and listen for a few hours each day with enough to keep you happy on the return.
Summary: Sony is back, sounding better than ever with a host of new features.
