... get with the Soulmate is Music Match Jukebox, which in itself is a very good media player for the PC. But be aware, the memory is NOT expandable the 48 megs is all you are going to get! Another word to the wise, once the batteries have been removed you only have a minute before the songs are wiped from the memory. But even though it has its faults I think I chose well from the range available for £50!! ...more

Well what can I say about the Soulmate MP3 player..., well to start with it is small, light, with a good sized screen. the unit itself is made from high density plastic, which makes it quiet robust, so it will take quiet a bashing, I have dropped mine down the stairs countless times and it has never stopped working once. The Soulmate can hold upto 48mb of MP3 files that equates to about 1 hour of music, which is enough to do even the longest bus ride. Sound quality is nothing to shout about, it can be a bit tinny, but most portable audio devices are. It has all the standard features like track repeat, repeat all and built in EQ. The unit comes with a docking station, ...  Read the complete review

Everybody needs toys !!!! (459 words)

As some of you already know, I am a total gadget head and in being so 'had' to get an portable mp3 player and because of it's extremely reasonable price I chose this one. I had a computer related shop at the time and the Soulmate was on extra special offer from my suppliers. When I opened the box I was fairly impressed by the size of the player and the weight. It fitted nicely into my pocket and was about the same weight of a full pack of cigarettes. Then I saw the rather bulky docking station and was a bit discouraged as i wanted to be able to connect to my laptop on the move and this was going to be just a bit too bulky for me. I ...  Read the complete review

Soulmate MP3 Player: Very basic, very cheap, very good! (218 words)

What drew my attention to the Soulmate was the price! There is no other MP3 player that comes close to the Soulmate's £50 price tag. Although 64Mb Mp3 players are being released, you would be lucky to get one for £150. Even other 32Mb players cost more than the Soulmate, and it has 48Mb of memory. The Soulmate comes packaged with MusicMatch Jukebox. This software is very easy to use and organises your MP3s very well. It also converts mp3s to lower bitrates allowing you to get more music on to the Soulmate. MusicMatch Jukebox is also used to transfer music to the Soulmate, the software does this very well. Battery life is lower than other players ...  Read the complete review

Well its small, light, skip free, oh yer and cheap what else would you ever want? The soul mate is an incredible 48mb MP3 player, this means it can hold up about an hours worth of digital music. With an MP3 you can download music off of the internet, via your PC, or rip CDs onto your PC and transfer them onto your Soulmate. One thing i noticed about this though was you can only buy it online, which is a bit of a bind because this means you can't see it before you buy it. it only costs £50, so if you buy this, it will save you a hell of a lot of money. The features it has are:Play/pause button,next/previous track button, a menu button which loops the ...  Read the complete review

Being a novice when it comes to MP3s, I was quite dubious about shelling out cash to buy an MP3 player. When I bought it I had just discovered Napster and I had such a slow net connection, that it was taking me 2 hours to download a single song but with a program such as Music Match jukebox, you can convert your own CDs to MP3s. However the price was one of the things which really attracted me to it and I am very pleased with my purchase. It's light, the sound quality is great and it really impressed my friends! The software that came with it couldn't be any simpler. So if you want a basic, run of the mill portable MP3 player, this ...  Read the complete review
