Sony ICF B01:
... s imaginatively titled ICF-B01 wind-up radio is a well-designed product. The silver version (shown above) looks a little dull, but the orange version is very cool indeed. Offering both AM and FM, a soft light and a flashlight, it s great for a camping trip. Although there are no settings for adjusting the sound (apart from volume), the quality is by no means bad, with music and speech being transmitted clear... Sony ICF S22 ... is impossible to have a great affection for a clock radio. It performs one of the most disliked tasks that any electrical device can do - it wakes you up in a morning. The 390 LWH can do this either with a buzzer or with a pre-selected radio station. Frankly why you would choose the buzzer I do not know when you can wake up to Sara Cox or Sarah Kennedy, though wait a minute the buzzer suddenly becomes an attractive option. The clock/radio works best off the mains but you need to have a battery for back-up particularly if like me you live out in the country where the area is prone to power cuts. The clock radio has always been reliable and keeps good time. The audio st... Read the full review: Decent Radio by polydeuces |

Tesco Value RAD-306 Wind-Up Radio ... since I was a child, way back in the days when there was no colour in the world and, everything was black and white, I have always been a radio fan - or wireless as we called it back then. With the birth of wind-up radios I have often been tempted to buy one; being impressed with the total simplicity of the whole idea. Being in a Tesco store last year, browsing and comparing computer keyboards, my eye was caught by a little wind-up radio in a Tesco Value box. I could not resist the impulse to buy, and couldn t wait to get it home to try it out. Straight out of the box I was impressed. Although the RAD-306 as it is known is made, predictably, of virtually... Read the full review: Tesco Value Wind-Up RAD-306 Radio by offthecuff |

Roberts R 9928 ... 9278 radio Roberts is a huge little name in radio. They are the traditionalest of the traditional. Hey I just invented the word traditionalest . How cool is that! They have been going since 1932, when radios were the size of camper vans and if you had one, there weren t any radio stations to listen to so everyone just looked at you soft. Despite being a household name in radio, they never turned into Sony, enen though, as they are by appointment to the Queen , the Royal Household must listen to radio 4 on one whilst whipping the corgis. They are very much a traditional look for a traditional product kind of company. There stuff always looks dated, even when...
