The Bose Wave - in whatever format you buy it - is totally awesome in every sense. On delivery, you can simply plug in and play the demonstration CD which consists of a variety of sound effects and classic classical pieces. It completely blows your mind and made me want to cry. I knew somewhere there was something out there that could create the perfect combination of sound but I had spent my life trying to find it. I had previously owned a Linn/Mission/Marantz audio combo that took up half the room and there it was, everything I had ever wanted from my music in one tiny box. No bits that get dustier every time you look at them, no fiddling with this wire into that socket, no spikes in the carpet from the speaker stands, no expensive repairs likely. All in all the wave is totally breathtaking and worth every penny!
