      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Only buy if you don't want high quality and have a low budget

Not bad for a cheap boom box, but the remote has never worked flawlessly (could not control the volume half the time), and the volume dial goes all over the place (probably a bad solder joint).

All in all, it's a pretty good deal. We have had it for many years, my young daughter started using it at the age of 4 or 5 on her own without supervision (the volume issues were already there), and we have enjoyed a nice sound out of it. The sound is decent, bases are not very strong, but you don't expect it, and very high frequencies are also absent. We have used the cassette tape player, but it's a little confusing and the kids can't stand the tapes in the first place... :-)

I'd recommend to take it if you get it cheap, but not to go near it if you want quality...
