How cool is this! The Lexon Rubber Tykho Radio

Never in my life I have seen such a cool and funky little radio! I got this one for my birthday and loved it the first moment I saw it. It actually a weird radio made of a rubber kind of material and I wasn't really surprised when I saw it was made by a French company. That French company is called Lexion and the radio is designed by Marc Berthier who doesn't only designs radio's but also watches and a lot more.

I have to say the way this radio looks makes it special because further on it's a pretty basic radio. I got this radio in red which looks very cool but you can also get this radio in blue, green, white, grey and yellow! I'm very happy with my red one but yellow also sounds really nice. It's not a big radio and the sizes are 140 x 75 x 45mm.

Of course looks aren't everything and I use this radio for music and listening to the radio! In this case it's actually a little bit an old fashion radio with a antenna. No digital here but you actually have to tune to get the right radio station. Maybe a little bit of a struggle in the beginning but I found the right station and never changing it again! Other buttons are on/off, volume and AM/FM buttons. Quiet straight forward really and very easy to use.

The sound is actually better then I expected to it turns out that the radio doesn't only shine in looks but also in the way it sounds. The sound quality is excellent and really clear when you get of course a good reception. It wasn't that difficult in my house to find a good signal.

The radio is powered by 2x AA batteries and they are still working for me but I also keep a few spare ones just in case! I'm really happy with this little radio and think it was a perfect gift! And not that cheap either really. I saw that you can buy one for 45 pounds. Quiet a bit for a portable radio but think it's absolutely worth it when you are looking for a cool and stylish little radio like this one!
